South Carolina Plantation Wedding from Out of Hand Floral Design

This wedding has stolen my heart, and that is the honest to goodness truth. I spent so much time with these images, that I feel like I actually attended this magnificent event. I have never been to South Carolina, but if this is what they have been keeping cooped up down there, I need to hop in the car for a road trip ASAP. While gazing at the images brought to us by Lauren Jackson Photography, you can just feel this family's love gushing through your computer screen. The luscious blooms of peony by Out of Hand floral design scream perfection for this June wedding. Oh, and one last thing-while you are in the gallery, note how the bride changes her cap sleeves AND her belts throughout the day...genius. Enjoy loves!

From Out of Hand + Ooh! Events: Laura Reed and Colby Moore married on June 16 of this year, after a love story of a road to the alter. Colby and Laura met in Charlotte, NC and just two short months later he moved to Austin, TX where he lived for 18 months until they got married. Since they were a time zone apart, Laura always went to bed earlier than Colby and woke up before he did. Every morning, she woke up to an email from Colby in her inbox. He wrote her an email every single night until they said "I do." Colby vowed that he would write her to tell her how much he loved her until he could wake up next to her and tell her in person. He addressed every email to "Charlotte" and signed every email "Austin." As Laura says, "we might have been miles apart but it is the little things that kept our love going strong." And it was a gorgeous wedding with a couple whose love is evident in every detail and photograph.

From the Bride...The bridesmaids' earrings were are all hand designed custom pieces from New York jewelry designer Diana Warner who is a family friend originally from Knoxville, TN. The honorary flower girl and my niece, Anne Locke, wore a dress smocked and hand made by my mother specially for the wedding. The kneeling bench that we used during our ceremony was needle pointed by grandmother and is used in our family's home church in Knoxville, TN. The Pastor that married us has also married every member in our immediate family and my parents were actually the first couple he ever married. The diamond brochure that I wore on my wedding dress during the ceremony has been worn by every bride on my mother's side of the family for over five generations.

Charleston is often referred to as the city of history and romance. For Colby and I, Charleston is truly the city of our history and our romance. Charleston is where Colby first told me he loved me. Charleston is where Colby met my family for the first time. And, Charleston is where we went the night we got engaged. Charleston holds a very special place in our hearts and we couldn't imagine a better place to begin our life together as Mr. & Mrs. Moore.
