Ok, so let’s take another look at that list again: there’s your kid’s teachers, their friend’s parents, the principal, the school nurse… and then there’s the ten people you’ll remember just when you think you have everyone covered. What to get for all of these folks? Well, we think these DIY pine sachets are just what the doctor ordered. Literally everyone loves both the smell of pine and receiving a thoughtful, homemade gift. 1. Measure the muslin bags. Cut out two rectangles of organza fabric that are 1/4″ smaller than the muslin bag on all sides. Sew the squares together on 3 sides, leaving the fourth side open.

2. Fill the organza with the balsam fir, and sew the fourth side closed.

3. Download the Merry Christmas iron-on label and print as many as you need on the iron-on transfer paper (following the instructions that come with the paper). Cut out the labels and place face down on the muslin bag. Iron the labels for about one minute on high heat (no steam!), and peel off the wax backing.

4. Stuff the organza sachets in the muslin bags, and tie closed with a sprig of fresh pine.
