San Juan Capistrano Wedding by Paul Von Rieter

Receptions surrounding a backyard pool kill it in the cool department. Who doesn't want to be feted pool side under a sea of twinkle lights? And while we're at it, weddings photographed by Paul Von Rieter kill it in the crazy gorgeous department. His subjects for today's affair are dressed to the nines, wildly in love and partying the night away amongst the prettiest shabby chic decor and we get to see it all right here.

From the Bride... I fell in love with our wedding site when I saw photos on our photographer's blog. I knew Maison des Oliviers was the right location for us because it was rustic, yet casually elegant. From the gardens and grapevines to the chandelier hanging on the pool deck, it was exactly what we wanted for our wedding — a great party for all of our friends and family. My vision was to have simple decor to complement the beautiful gardens, so my colors were pink and white. I loved the hands-on part of the details, from creating our wedding program fans to the personalized coloring books we made for the kids. Our friends and family helped too. Our invitation design was a original sketch created with the site in mind, and my sister created a hand painted sign-in tree for our guests. We wanted everyone to just have a great time and celebrate with us, and that's exactly what we had — fantastic Mexican food, flowing drinks, and our wedding cake topped off with the most delicate sugar blossom I got on Etsy. The band was awesome and kept the dance floor filled all night. What a perfect day and the best start for our happily ever after....
