Tim & I got engaged in Savannah, and it should be said that I might have purchased a few wedding books before we even returned from our trip.  Let's just say I was very detailed oriented bride throughout the whole process, although some might say a tad OCD ;) But I really couldn't have been happier with how our wedding turned out, it exceeded any dreams I had.

I scoured lots of wedding blogs and pinterest for ideas during the planning process.  We also found inspiration in vintage items that we mixed in with some bright modern graphics to capture a 'fun' vibe.  We collected a bunch of mason jars, wooden boxes, and assorted vases to use for our flowers.  We scraped down and repainted 3 old doors for our ceremony backdrop.  It was a lot of fun searching for just the right items to make our vision a reality.  So many people came up to us on the big day and said the wedding was totally "us", so I think we achieved our goal of a fun & relaxed wedding.

We picked things we were immediately drawn to, and didn't let ourselves feel pressured to do things just because they are 'tradition'.  Your wedding is a reflection of you as a couple, so that should show through in every part of your big day.  Oh, and choose amazing vendors!  Choosing vendors whose work we truly loved was one of the best decisions we made.
