From the Groom-to-be... I proposed to my girlfriend of 4 years through a video. I shot it myself, focusing and framing each shot before hitting the playbutton and getting in front of the camera.
I showed it to her on our annual trip to San Diego in our hotel room after spending a day at the zoo. I told her to come and watch a video that I had been in riding bikes for a local bike company in AZ. When she sat down on the couch, I hit play and at the end I pulled the ring out from under the couch, got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. She said yes! After we hugged and kissed and cried, I took her upstairs where I had her best friends and her sister, who drove from Los Angeles and Arizona, waiting in a separate hotel room. We went out for a night out on the town in Gaslamp Quarter to celebrate after.
I feel like the luckiest guy. She's always supported my photography and my business, while I travel for weddings and she's always been there for me, bringing me sandwiches at 2am while I was working away in the photo darkroom, studying for my BFA at ASU. I'm lucky to have found a girl as lovely as her.
