From Weddings of Desire... For this Country Lace inspirations shoot I wanted to combine the natural rustic elements of the rolling countryside, lush green elements and 100 year old river red gum trees with a modern but glamorous electric blue, gold and cream color scheme. My first element that I chose and that became the backbone of our inspiration was the gorgeous blue and white ginger jars that I purchased from a boutique interior designer (The Mellow Canary), I then searched for some fabulous lace to be made into curtains to hang on the handmade structure for the ceremony, From here I searched for many little nick knacks in vintage shops and country décor boutiques, which I found the gold rimmed plates, rustic hanging charm, crystal decanters and vases, a watering can which was filled with berries and green foliage and birdcage.

Following the country theme we incorporated hay bales for ceremony seating and made a fantastic hay bale seat for the bride and groom, our Milk and Cookie bar was a quirky element we set up that brings out that country home feel, fresh baked cookies and local milk was used, the rattan basket and wooden canisters add the natural element and the 100 year old Red Gum tree gave the perfect back drop.

When creating the elements for the table setting we wanted to give that homely country feel, this is where the home made strawberry jam jars came in, fresh bunches of herbs and lush green, white and silver blooms placed in vintage gold and white vases.  The napkins are also handmade out of a fabric inspired by the blue and white ginger jars! The cakes where created to feel modern but timeless, natural tones, fresh & sugar flowers, smooth and rough textured, this was the same case with out stationary classic color with a soft modern feel! My final element came from Anna Campbell the talented Melbourne designer, when choosing from Anna’s collection I knew the detailed lace dress and soft toned bridesmaids dress would fit in perfectly!
