From the Bride... From the start, we knew that we wanted a wedding that really exemplified the two of us.  We wanted it to be relaxed, fun, to have great food and for everyone to feel like they had come to the best party of the summer.  As soon as we first entered the San Diego Botanic Gardens, we knew it was the perfect place. As we mapped out how we wanted the day to go, we knew it was going to include a collection of all the things we loved: tacos, a mariachi band, a Motown band, BBQ, pies and a piñata.

Between my parents, Harrison and I, we made a majority of the details.  From the succulent escort cards, table numbers, and programs to pompoms, wedding signs, and the favors. While it definitely took more time, it was the best feeling to see people really appreciate all the heart and love we put into it all. Having our friend, Ed, officiate the ceremony made it seem so intimate.  We said our vows in front of a beautiful ribbon arch my mom and her friend had made.  Harrison surprised me at the end of his vows by taking a photo of me to always remember that moment.  It was truly the best part of the day.

The cocktail hour and reception were definitely a reflection of both of us.  There were incredible tacos and margaritas for cocktail hour to make sure everyone got in the festive mood.  Then it was time for BBQ and Motown at the reception.  There were delicious pies for dessert.  We wanted the tables to be simple but elegant with flowers chosen to look like they could have been picked somewhere in the gardens.  We even had a wedding cake piñata for some surprise fun. It was the most magical evening, and everything turned out better than I could have imagined.  The love and joy we felt throughout that night and the whole weekend surpassed anything I dreamed about.  I would do it all again in a heartbeat.
