Another thing we love? We LOVE it when we get nearly a hundred wedding images to chose from for our Little Black Book Blog features! We LOVE it when our brides (or grooms) send us their story. And Corinna. We LOVE Corinna Raznikov's weddings!
Killer dress .... isn't it??
Corinna said it rained, on and off all day on Jessica and Shaun's wedding day. You would never know it, except in a few shots. They were super-troopers!
Pink flats ... any guesses?
There are just wayyyyy too many amazing shots to know where to stop! {eager readers peek at them all in the SMP gallery}
But ... we do have to back up just a bit for a couple more terrific dress shots.

the bride's story ...
I had always thought I wanted a fairytale white wedding in a ballroom, with the big, white dress and huge hydrangeas. However, ten years after Shaun and I met, I finally had the chance to design my dream wedding, and the big, white wedding was no longer me. I knew I wanted an amazing party rather than a traditional wedding, but didn't know where to begin. Blog after blog and many inspiration boards later, my dream was coming into focus. As I trudged through New York City, I stumbled upon Tribeca Rooftop. I had to see it, but it was 8pm. I was sure that no one would answer the phone at that hour, but lucky for me the phone was answered and an appointment was made. I had barely stepped through the doors and was sold. A huge loft, overlooking Manhattan, tremendous windows, eclectic chandeliers, fabulous food and a rooftop deck. What more could a party ask for!
After finding the space, the rest was easy and seemed to fall into place. I picked out some sexy, slate blue, BCBG dresses at Bloomingdale's for the bridesmaids and hot pink Christian Louboutin's for myself. Five dresses later, a fun, flirty dress was ordered. I was loving every minute of planning our wedding! The space needed little decorating and I knew the flowers had to compliment the loft vibe. I chose glass cylinders that were over 3 feet tall. Each was filled with hot pink cymbidium orchids and water. A ring of votive candles surrounded each centerpiece creating a soft glow in the room. The invitations, table numbers, menus and escort cards were custom designed by two fabulous ladies at Someday Designs to be fun and light hearted. Polk dots, bright colors, a photo booth and Rocher Ferrero candies helped set the tone of the night to come. A sexy make up artist to compliment the great dresses, a DJ who kept everyone dancing all night long, an all red candy bar for guests to enjoy and a Mister Softee truck waiting for them outside were the perfect finishing touches.
The day was finally here and the skies couldn't decide whether to shine or let loose. The day was full of surprises as we traveled through Manhattan and Brooklyn with Corinna, our phenomenal photographer. We had rain, wind and beautiful blue sky, all of which made for fabulous photos. As we headed inside for the ceremony, the skies opened up once again. Both my mother and father walked me down the aisle and I walked back up with my now husband Shaun, to "Beautiful Day" by U2.
It was just that, a beautiful day.
