SMP Blogger Bride: A Dash of Details' Gets in Shape for Her Big Day

Hi Brides! It's Ali from A Dash of Details here again to talk about something every Bride thinks about: working out. Every Bride wants to feel their best on the inside and out on their Big Day, so I am here to share a few tips on how I am getting in shape for my own wedding! But let's be honest, it is much easier to get motivated with friends by your side.
If you are anything like me, I get so bored doing the same workout day after day. I love to workout - especially take classes - but I always have a hard time committing to just one studio. My friend Natalie started Studio Hop for just this reason. With her help to keep me motivated, these weeks leading up to the wedding we headed to three different studios for a good sweat and a lot of fun.
I found that pilates has been a great workout for my body. It is low impact, strengthens your core, elongates your muscles and helps you tone in all of the right places. It doesn't hurt that Pilates Methodology is located in the most darling renovated old house.
The next day, Natalie and I headed to City Surf Fitness. Any workout that has you laughing and sweating at the same time is a win in my book. Just imagine great music, high cardio and balancing on a surf board. It is definitely a recipe for a great workout.
We needed a day to rest after City Surf, so Natalie and I decided we would try two workout classes at Burn Cardio. Boy, we sure got a great workout thanks to an amazing instructor. Spin and Yoga are a great combination of workouts. We first started with a high intensity spin class with great jams, strobe lights and cardio off the bike, and then headed into their yoga studio for some strength and stretching. This studio really has it all!

We had such a fun week with our girlfriends, and the three different workouts allowed me to feel like I got a full body workout. I am starting to feel great on the inside and out! Also, cute workout clothes always help!
Staying motivated each week can be tough, especially when you are busy planning your wedding. Just remember that working out is a great stress reliever (even if it is just 20 minutes a day) and it always helps to have a partner to hold you accountable. It is also a great distraction from my busy day and a little friendly competition is always fun!

Good luck getting in shape! Remember, it's a must to feel great on the inside so you will shine on your Big Day! I know you can do it!
